ALL ABOUT ME
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I finally fulfilled that dream upon graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma. I am beginning my 7th year in education, but my love for watching children learn and grow goes far beyond that. My "teaching" began in the daycare industry where I spent 20 years working for the same child care facility. It was through this career I was able to put myself through college and become a certified English Language Arts & Reading teacher. I spent my first year of teaching in Midland, TX to 8th grade students. My husband and I (and our son) moved to Red Oak at the end of the school year where we have been ever since. I spent the last 5 years teaching ELAR for another charter in the area, teaching 3rd-6th graders. With lots of prayers and soul searching, I found myself here at Life Lancaster and could not be more excited to begin this journey.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma and come from a large, loving family. I have been married to my husband, Wayne for 11 years and together we have a son, Brady who starts 5th grade this year. I have a 24 year old daughter, Brittani, who lives in Oklahoma with her son, Rhyder. Upon graduation, we decided to move to the great state of Texas so that I could pursue my passion for teaching.
I look forward to working with your students. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
